it's bigger than any of her other books i've read (seriously, it's probably twice the size of to say nothing of the dog), so either there's a lot of plot, or there's a lot of waffling. should i get the syrup? :D

I forgot you only read her shorter novels. Although Doomsday Book is about that thick, too, isn't it? Blackout and All Clear together would ve even thicker. Passage is fabulous. You might need syrup - you can never go wrong with it, and waffling gets kinda intense at one point.

I might have to reread Passage. I love that story.

there was one number in the phone number that i couldn't figure out, so i showed a couple people at work and they all said it was a 2, but it's possible it wasn't and i dialed the wrong number. but still! how rude to leave a note asking me to call, and then not call back. i gave it to the insurance csr when i called, so now the insurance adjuster has it too.

it's called skam and it's norwegian. it's about high schoolers, and the current season focuses on two of the boys falling in love. for at least one of them it's the first time he's been interested in another boy. they are very cute. the official site is here and it updates almost every day with little clips of that week's episode, which airs on friday. so you get little bits of the story all week. if you want the english subtitles let me know and i can hook you up. :D unless you know norwegian.

this is what happens when your only parking option is the street! it's so frustrating. at least the car is still driveable, which is good because i have curling tonight and there's no way to get there by public transportation, and i'm not interested in cabbing it or getting an uber.

i only have wytches through issue six! are there more? i don't normally read horror comics but i like scott snyder and jock, and it's really fabulously creepy.

i just started it but am liking it so far. i like connie willis, tho, so i'm an easy sell. mostly i'm impressed at how thick it is for a mass-market paperback.
