Pinned all the Cistern pictures. Inspiration for something...written.

abandoned victorian architecture really does lend itself to plot bunnies, doesn't it.

Is that the movie you told me about, something about fishermen and Massachusetts? Other than the accent and the pretty, was the movie itself any good?

you might be thinking of the finest hours, about the biggest coast guard rescue in history, which was off the coast of cape cod. (and stars chris pine, who's smaller than chris built-like-a-brick-shithouse hemsworth but also very pretty.) did i tell you about it? it's not out yet. i liked in the heart of the sea. it's got tension without having a lot of actiony dramatic scenes.
(the only other movie about fishermen and massachusetts that i can think of is a perfect storm, which was when a bunch of fishermen from gloucester got caught in a massive storm and drowned. but i have no idea why i would have mentioned it. i never saw it, because i knew everyone was going to die and i didn't want to watch that.)

The Finest Hour, yes, though I don't remember in which context it came up. It sounded good and it went on my list of things to check out. I did see The Perfect Storm! Everyone indeed died after struggling bravely for the entire movie, after you got a glimpse of their lives on dry land, got attached to them and rooted for them. It was still a good movie, though. Sad but good.
