it's true! there's something about being able to hang out in person with people you normally only hang out with online. altho it helps that I've known wren for probably twelve years. (I've been on lj a long time. :D )

I have to ask, though, was it the "ghost" part of vodka that compelled you to try it? Because pepper vodka doesn't sound appealing, until you make it ghost pepper vodka.

SO MUCH FOOD. SO MUCH TV. it was great. :D the corgis were a total bonus, too.

ghost peppers are apparently the hottest peppers going. (altho I learned that there's a carolina breed of pepper that's hotter.) like, someone in india was experimenting with ways to weaponize them. they make good tear gas, I guess. the vodka might have just had essence of ghost pepper in it, or amy's cousin let some peppers infuse it, but in any case it tasted like ow.

I love the idea of a ghost pepper being the ghost of a pepper, tho. imagine mexican and indian cooks haunted by the ghosts of all the chili peppers they've cooked with.

What on earth were you thinking to try and drink that? :D I like the idea of ghost peppers. The Mexican cook comes into the kitchen at night and sees them everywhere, just these ginormous bundles absolutely everywhere. They look reproachful. He blinks and they're gone.
