tbf, as someone who grew up super-poor, you need to do layaway super-early if you want stuff to be paid off by Christmas >.>

and y'know, if i'd thought about it i would've figured out that it makes sense to start the layaway ads now, for just that reason. i was just so surprised! i haven't even seen ads for halloween stuff yet. altho halloween stuff doesn't cost the same amount of bucks.

that's weird, there's a book called Sabriel by an author called Garth Nix too.

That's funny, I was going to go look for the Ennis Sabriel too just because of the name.

But at least the panties were cute! :D

Is Sabriel some precious fantasy about a necromancer girl? I have a vague memory of giving it a shot, on someone's recommendation, and nearly rolling my eyes out of my skull. Though i can't remember why.

The Immortan Joe incident is THE BEST con story ever :D

every time i wear a skirt or a dress now i'm going to make doubly sure that i have on cute panties, because if i have to flash someone thanks to my own brain fart, i may as well make that flash count.

sabriel is indeed about a necromancer girl. i don't know if i'd call it "precious", tho. and i remember a lot less about it than i thought i would.

my favorite thing about that story is that it was totally unplanned. fannish hive mind! altho i also love that there was apparently a roving band of war boys. WITNESS!

Oh JOHN. I saw a picture of him in the dress earlier but thought he was wearing a 50s style apron for some reason, I didn't realize it was a TARDIS. At least that sort of makes some sense. Not that he always makes sense or anything. Right. Anyway. The thing that man does. *giggles*

it doesn't look very tardis-y, aside from the color and the fact that, you know, captain jack is wearing it. i think the heels totally make the outfit, to be honest.

I got out of the house with the tags on my new jeans not too long ago, some kind lady informed me of it before I was out too long. She asked if I remembered Minnie Pearl...

Thanks for sharing the David Hewlett doll. I'm a huge SGA fan and a big McShep shipper. I need to have a Sheppard doll!

i remember minnie pearl! she wore the tags on her hats, tho. i grew up in nashville and my mom saw her once playing tennis at someone's country club. i thought that was the weirdest thing, that minnie pearl - who to me was a famous middle-aged country star on tv - would do something as mundane as play tennis.

isn't that mckay the cutest thing? i wish funko would make actual stargate figures. imagine funko pop wraiths - so cute and villainous! i admit i was never much of a shipper, but mckay and sheppard could be really cute together. also sheppard had the best hair. :D
