A co-worker randomly showed me Boston weather broadcast on her phone today, in sick fascination :D She doesn't even know anybody in Boston and I have no clue why she had your weather on her phone. Possible to remind her that when she has to chisel ice off her car in the freezing cold, there is worse weather just up the coast. I told her I had a friend up there and we both watched in terror the virtual snowflakes falling.

Meanwhile, Seattle is blooming for spring and Miami hasn't even noticed anything was the matter. *shakes fist at the Northeast*

you watched in sick fascination as mother nature dumped two feet of white stuff on us, huh? we didn't get ice, tho, or at least not so much on the cars. just... lots of snow.

it's already spring in seattle? really? weird. good news for seattleites, but weird.

It's probably been spring in there since mid-January. It's been a mild winter. But we do get cherry blossoms and all that in February. Hoooome!

Boston architecture is pretty. Especially when little bits and pieces stick out through the frame of snow. So are the trees and the street lights and *flails* ...
You should have done the Hail Hydra and slunk away. You'd probably have got a smile. A person doesn't buy something like that without a wish for someone to appreciate it too.
A little bird mentioned that the Harvard Grad School is closed tomorrow too. Everybody to stay coming from home. *The Russians are Coming. The Russians are Coming. movie reference*

Ummm Normal telephone interviews don't work any more considering the technology fail?

your friend has taken some really nice pictures! but i'm guessing she's also in a really pretty part of the city. and everything's closed, so it makes sense the grad school would be too. a perfect day to walk around and admire the nice parts of being snowed in.

i felt really weird about walking up to a total stranger, tho. especially since he was having a conversation with a guy who i guessed was either his friend or a coworker. (or both.) it seemed kind of rude to interrupt him to say one thing and then slide away.

i don't know why they couldn't just have a phone interview. maybe the interviewer wanted to see the interviewee's face? it was such a tech fail.

Everytime I feel cranky about our weather I think of Boston and am grateful it's not us. You sound like you are coping really well! I wish better weather for you, soon!

every time you hate your weather, be glad it's not six feet of snow! hee. it's like we're a bad-case scenario for other parts of the country. and parts of the country where this kind of thing is normal probably look at us like "guys, really, it's just snow, don't panic".
