i'm watching hot tub time machine even tho it's a terrible movie because the pull of sebastian stan's face is that strong. >.< i'm vaguely ashamed. also i swear john cusack just said he has some feels he needs to feel. o.O

today i went to my sister's house to watch the desolation of smaug in preparation for seeing the battle of the five armies

I hope you somehow enjoyed Hot Tub Time Machine. I watched the trailer and there was no trace of Sebastian, which was disappointing, but it looked like a typical screwball boy comedy... I hope Sebastian was sufficiently pretty faced! :)

I didn't bring the Covenant along with me... and my husband reminded me that Taylor Kitsch played John Carter of Mars, so that is a plus. :D

i'm not sure if "enjoyed" is the right word. john cusack is cute, at least, and i still get some mileage out of laughing at sebstan's character. he plays a ski patroller who's convinced the guys who've come back from the future via hot tub are all commies. CONVINCED. and he has unflattering 80s hair. he has a fairly small part, tho, so mostly i watch for the few minutes i can giggle at him and facepalm over his terrible movie choices.

when i saw the covenant way back when - i rented it - i did so mostly for taylor kitsch wearing the smallest bathingsuit known to man. he's a worthy reason to watch it.

IIRC it was talk about hair and why you are wrong about it :-) Duke Crocker's hair for example. Their hair is as much costuming and character insight as the Cape Rouge, or the unbuttoned shirt. Speaking of which, have you ever seen him in the series Conviction? He plays an Assistant District Attorney. It's on Netflix.

someone's hair can be perfectly in character and still be bad hair. (winter soldier, i am SO looking at you. and george blagden from vikings is going to be playing louis xiv in some show about versailles, and sun king era hair is not a good look for his face.) and actually duke's hair was bad only for part of s3, and once it was long enough for a ponytail it was totally fine. the ponytail was piratical, and thus appropriate.

i've never even heard of conviction. is it any good?
