We made it *tadaaaam* Well, I guess that you worked more than I did with all the research you did and all the time you spent on this fic ♥

It was so great to illustrate a story that takes place in Paris and more than that, that takes place in Paris in 1896! What a beautiful and rich artistic period! (life wasn't fun but art wise, it was a blast). It was great to use aaaaaall my art books about Paris in 1900, Lautrec, Mucha, etc for a Big Bang (and to hide silly stuff like a cute little green creature called a Del Monte that I draw every time I can and even a graffiti that says "Born Toulouse" (silly play on words #56212).)

I loved your story so much! For Jared and Jensen, for the Green Door, for Paris, for Misha and his hedgehog (too bad I didn't have the time to draw that...). Well, I fell in love immediately! I'm sure you're gonna have tons of comments and that people will be delighted by the fic.

So thank you for all of this and also, for being and absolute sweetheart whose enthusiasm for her work was visible in every email ♥

As always it was a pleasure to work on your writing. I know I e-mailed you, but the differences in the draft and final edit amaze me. :) It's both inspiring and daunting to see a writer take those kinds of leaps - the changes weren't small or superficial - you really dug in and breathed life into this story. I'm honored I got to play a small part in that.

Also - ART SCORE - holy hell! When I was reading this i kept thinkling petite_madame would be a perfect fit. LOL!

the final version does feel a little different from the draft - definitely more visually specific. and the sex scenes are a little better. :D and there's a little more jensen in the story. and you caught my typos! which i know is kind of a ridiculous thing, considering the fic itself needed work, but if you look at something long enough you can't see that you totally misspelled some words or that your punctuation is wrong, and it drives me nuts when i find those kinds of mistakes. so thank you for doing that too. :D

i must have pleased some random fandom god, because SERIOUSLY, how did i luck out with the art? she was a total pleasure to work with, too.

I am not a fast reader, that's is why when most of the big bang stories were published I could choose the order in which I would be reading them and I left yours for last because I had a feeling that it would be one of the best big bang stories. And I was right! You story is wonderful. It is filled with love, art and Paris, the city which is the epitome of love and art. It is beautiful how you depicted Jared paintings his love for Jensen, his friends and Paris. I really would like to go the Green door and watch the girls dance and Jensen play the piano and drink absinthe with them and visit Chris Kane's Cherokee. There are so many little things in your story that sum up into something amazing... How Jensen always supported Jared, how Jensen defended Anton, how Chris fed the boys, Misha's hedgehog, the woman with the ocelot, Hemingway's quotes... love and friendship is everywhere in your story. Jared is so open and happy just living in Paris and painting (even before Misha appeared), just being with his boyfriend and his friends. I love ( ... )

i'm so sorry it took me so long to reply to this! and i'm so, so glad you liked my bang! (i wanted to go to the green door too, and the cherokee, and jared's exhibition so i could see his paintings.) i just wanted to write about love and art and being young with your friends and your boyfriend in paris, because it's paris and how can you NOT be in love there? y'know?

it makes me so happy that a. my fic convinced you that you really should visit paris, and b. that you walked around montmartre thinking about the boys and where they lived. seriously, that's one of the best compliments. and paris is such a romantic, pretty city, isn't it? i got rained on when i was there, tho.

but anyway, this is such a lovely comment, thank you so much. i get the impression you liked the story.... :D

(also and unrelated, i love that icon. hedgehog in the fog!)
