today was kind of a day for no reason except that it just was. i didn't even take a lunch break because i was waiting for something time-sensitive to land on my desk right about when i normally eat, and i didn't get it until 3:30 and by the time i was done (which required fixing a typo which meant pulling the bindings out of three reports and then ( Read more... )

do ladies run into this problem with other ladies?

Pushy jerks come in all shades and flavours, and when I was 17 a homeless but apparently sane woman at the bus station hassled me for my phone number while I was drunkenly trying to get on the bus, in a fashion that was so blatant that even my drunk oblivious 17-year-old Aspergers self recognised it for being hit on.

i've actually found that women tend to get more pushy and inappropriate than guys. probably because people are less likely to punch a woman in the face?? Or maybe it's just more expected from guys so when a chick does it it's more noticible?

i shouldn't be surprised that women do it too. i guess because the stories are always about pushy guys and women who are too nervous about retaliation to say "no, and also fuck off", i don't tend to think that women also have to deal with pushy women.

i never have that problem w/ anyone ever because i have no trouble saying no and when i say fuck off people know i mean it.

however, i do have a story i like to tell. once a guy asked me "can i have your number so i can call you?" and i said "in regards to what?" ... i was actually genuinely confused.

i think the only time i was ever inappropriately touched (unsolicited) was at a MAC pro-store getting my eyes done where another woman came up and touched my cheekbone while making a pass at me (giving me a complement of some sort, i don't recall what). both the makeup lady and i were both kind of horrified. I think i said "thanks, uh, i need to finish the right eye now" ... i was just so shocked. who the hell touches someone's FACE??
