i met gnomi for lunch today and the place where we went was celebrating its birthday and was thus giving out free cake. so we had cake with lunch, which was nice. chocolate cake with a layer of mousse and a dollop of whipped cream on top.

i can't get on lj at work but i can get on twitter, and my favorite thing about twitter remains all the links of random that people post. i'm glad you enjoy them. :D i've never seen a baby peccary, so i didn't realize how completely adorable they are.

oh man, it's like staring at the sun. holy cow. clothes love him. the camera loves him. the sun loves him. it's like everything comes together and you're left staring at the tv going "how the hell is this man even real??"

i had cake at work! one of the admins baked me a cake! it had the sweetest frosting ever. O.O i was totally waiting for a sugar crash.

lady pirate adventures to follow! (well, they'll probably involve having sex with the defrocked priest, which isn't even an adventure at this point, but then i think she gets captured and thrown in jail, and that probably counts.)

Interesting links again. Kolpmanskop in Namibia, yeah, that's sort of creepy. But I like it. Not so long ago there was a documantion about the history and how the village finally ended and how it looks now over here on TV. I think the most creepy thing for me is, that the houses are looking so ... typical German to me. I mean, I look out of my window and can see houses looking a lot the same.

do you imagine the houses in your neighborhood filled with sand dunes? that's gotta be weird. and the abandoned town is creepy, but it's a great reminder that sooner or later nature will take everything back.
