LOL at the lady on the horse! I had to look and sure enough, it was the big downtown DMV here. FWIW though, she could have taken a bus--there's a stop right out front. LOL

I'm not really sure how Duke's trouble works. Does a Crocker have to give the killing blow or just be there when they die and absorb their blood or is the blood immaterial or or or....

There's also the weirdness of Duke being present for his Grandfather's death and getting his blood on him....

i think a crocker has to do the actual killing to get rid of a trouble. but a bleeding person doesn't have to die for the blood to affect duke, and i don't think the dead person has to bleed on him either for his trouble-erasing trouble to kick in.
