Woah, those miniature-landmarks are gorgious! Beautiful, love them :)!
That about the bookbinder sounds great and interesting! 15 years ago I spent some time in Asia (3 months) and got the chance there to visit a paper-manufacture - no paper-mill, a really manufacture. That was awesome but I really didn't envy those people working there. Great, now I want to look at those photos I took back then ... LOL
Yesterday I really was ... in a not so good mood about that Free ComicBook day. We don't have a Comic-shop anywhere near by (and I doubt that, if that old shop would be still open, they had an issue of the Grimm-comic). And everyone was telling me "now I go and get my issue" I know that was mostly teasing but I really was getting angry :(. Well, at least I can download that one - someday *sigh*

I wish I could say I did something helpful for the people there but ... My Dad just passed away a year before and my Mom ... well, I returned home to stay with her because she was sick too and unable to live alone. But I couldn't really handle the whole situation myself, so I finally packed my bag, took a flight to Nepal and stayed there. Later I got the chance to visit Tibet as I began working for a tourist-business in Kathmandu. I could have stayed there (Nepal), and maybe I did a fault to come back to Europe after one of my brothers called me, telling me about our Mom getting sicker and she was worried about me living all alone on another continent. But, well, I had a great time there. Nepal is a wonderful country - true, one of the povertist but the people are great, the landscape is beautiful and at least living is cheap. And Tibet was a blast!

And yep, there was Issue #0 for free - but may they didn't have printed enough or the too many people wanted it as no one I know got one :(.
