Glad you're safe, and that the area was put on lockdown, but so, so sorry that officer was killed. That isn't supposed to be a dangerous job, but sometimes you'll get called upon to be a hero. Poor guy.

he apparently wanted to be a somerville cop. :( and yeah, you wouldn't think that campus security would be a life-threatening job.

somerville isn't on lockdown so i can leave my house, and since the news is still repeating itself and there's no new news, i might actually do that. now they're saying that people went in to work this morning anyway, and now they're trying to get home. with the t and the commuter rail shut down. good luck with that, guys.
