I learned tons of stuff from Schoolhouse Rock. And I remember that we had a mandatory test at the end of 8th grade, in which one of the questions required us to write the preamble to the Constitution from memory--and the teachers specifically forbade singing or humming during the test. (I'm sure we were all running the song through our heads, though...)
