i have alejandro stuck in my head. i blame wrenletso i work in an architect's office, right? today we got some promo stuff for vectorworks, which is the cad software we use - it came in a very square box, and inside the box was a cardboard chinese takeout carton with a red ribbon around it and a big vectorworks 2011 sticker, and inside the cardboard ( Read more... )

i met celli at the first wincon, way back in the misty mists of time! (ie, 2006. :D ) we sat in someone's room and she told me about spn/sga crossovers. fannish fun was had.

There's a Venn diagram in my head where one circle is Celli's friends, and one circle is my friends, and the bit where they intersect just got a teeny bit bigger. Awesome. :D

OMG DO THE TOUR EVEN IF NO ONE GOES WITH YOU I WENT NOT KNOWING ANYONE AND WHILE I DIDN'T MAKE FRIENDS BECAUSE I DON'T LIKE TO TALK TO STRANGERS IT WAS STILL REALLY COOL TO SEE ALL THE BUILDINGS. even while getting rained on.

the us conference on aids is in chicago next year in november. we're all ffs. i mean, god willing i won't be at my job anymore by november next year and won't have to go, because who the hell wants to go to chicago in november?

I might consider going because I never got to do that when I was living in Chicago, but I'm flying out at 4:30, and I don't want to cut it too close getting to the airport. I'm flying in on Wednesday though, so I have way more time before the con than after, if you have any flexibility then. Yay buildings!

i'm not flying in until thursday night. :( and now that the schedule's out and there's a chance i'll be on the comic book panel which is sunday, the chances of being able to go on a river cruise then are slightly diminished. i'm going to try to post to wincon and see if there's another day people want to go, or if i should just go myself on saturday or friday.

but still, yay buildings!

next year in, er, wherever they have it! i think next year should be in dallas to coincide with the texas state fair. fried food on sticks! someone figured out how to fry beer. that kind of ingenuity should totally be rewarded with fangirls. :D plus which, it's a lot less likely to snow in dallas.
