i have alejandro stuck in my head. i blame
wrenlet.
so i work in an architect's office, right? today we got some promo stuff for vectorworks, which is the cad software we use - it came in a very square box, and inside the box was a cardboard chinese takeout carton with a red ribbon around it and a big vectorworks 2011 sticker, and inside the cardboard chinese takeout carton were... fortune cookies. :D and on each fortune was a url and a little sentence-of-praise from some software reviewer or someone letting us know how amazing vectorworks 2011 will be. i am totally, totally charmed. and also full of fortune cookie. yum.
anyone reading this who's going to
wincon this year - are you interested in doing an
architectural river tour on sunday? because i totally am. i've never done it before and let's be honest, you can't get that close to chicago and not go IN chicago and see the buildings. and also i must stand on the glass observation ledge in the sears tower. i see tall buildings and my first thought is "how can i get up that?" and the sears tower is one of the most famous of the tall buildings, so.
(yes i know it's not longer called the sears tower, but i can't remember its new name. willits? i think? it will always be the sears tower to me.)
