dean can't possibly be the first righteous person to shed blood in hell...
Well, most righteous people don't end up in hell in the first place :D John and Dean were both there through a selfless act, trading themselves for another's life (and I wish the fact that he WAS a righteous man would buck up Dean's self-esteem a bit but that doesn't look likely).
And I am fucking pissed that Uriel is apostate. Just. I could handwave off him being the heavy, but this is too much.
... not from a storytelling standpoint, mind, and of all the stuff they could have lifted from Prophecy that's about my favorite. Just the fact the black angel is a traitor. Pissed.
"i would not mind a castiel-centric episode or two"
Me too! (uh, sorry, i should be more substantive than that but ... me too!). Castiel was just great this episode, and i rather enjoyed the torture scenes on a personal level, i was yelling "HOLY WATER ENEMA!! DO A HOLY WATER ENEMA!" at one point and maybe the neighbors will be looking at me funny tomorrow, but what the hell.
i really really liked him! and i liked seeing anna again. i've been finding castiel more and more interesting than either sam or dean, and would love a totally-angel episode. all castiel, all the time.
