"you have a tell." "i have a tell?"

all the lovely snow from this morning has turned to rain. i don't know if this is an improvement or not. i still get to leave work early. at least i was smart and brought my umbrella to work with me. *flexes*

for no apparent reason, today's friendly hostility made me crave red velvet cupcakes in the worst way. clearly someone loves me because ( Read more... )

Alec having a roshambo tell is HILARIOUS. Also, I recall at some point, when Random Character picked up Eliot in a bearhug, thinking, "Wow, you have NO IDEA how close you came to death right there. Soveryclose."

The cars in the parking lot look less icy now. I'm thinking maybe if my windshield is clear I'll go see the Bond movie at the dollar theater this afternoon... IF I can make some more progress on virgin!Spencer. Maybe. I have a feeling I won't be done with this by the time Mercury goes direct, but oh well.

my reaction was more "is chris kane that short or is jonathan chase really that tall?" and then i giggled. tiny!ninja! hee.

i vote for bond, yes. a little daniel craig is never a bad thing. and you can work on virgin!spencer (and doesn't that sound filthy...) afterwards. :D

I peeked out my front door and all the shaded sidewalks are still icy. ICK.

Chris's IMDB page says he's 5'10", but there are two discussion threads calling bullshit on that. *giggles to DEATH*

are you at home?? well, if you're iced in, that might be a sign that you should be working on spencer....

gina bellman's imdb page says she's 5'6", so she'd have to be wearing at least four-inch heels to look taller than chris, and i just don't buy that her shoes were that high.

that does kind of make sense, but now people are going to think the show is inconsistently written. hmph. i hope we get the correct order at some point, so we can watch the arcs as the ptb intended.

parker diving out of the window - and it really was a dive, wasn't it - was priceless. "how did you know i'd be there?" "i didn't." i like her character so much. altho i think eliot has better teammate chemistry with hardison. SO DAMN CUTE, SERIOUSLY. and chris kane IS SO DAMN SHORT! it cracks me up.

hardison/eliot seems so natural i'm surprised more people haven't jumped on that. and hell, throw in parker. all good things come in threes. =)

i was wondering about the possibility of that one being out of order, because they really exaggerated the whole drinking issue so hard, and it did seem as if some things hadn't quite meshed yet. the plotting was kinda clumsily done, too. maybe it's best that they got people hooked on the stronger eps before they showed that one? i liked last week's ep much better too.

i did love the rock-paper-scissors bit, tho.

also, i think i need an icon.

that's what mahoni said too, that they put the stronger episodes first. *points up* but it throws off some of the character arc stuff and makes it look like the show is badly or at least inconsistently written, when it isn't.

the rock-paper-scissors was classic. i love the random silly lighthearted bits.

okay, so that's confirmed. and they flipped "the wedding job" and "bank shot job" around "the stork job" too, right? argh. did anyone ever post a list of what the original order was supposed to be?

somehow i knew you'd like "i'm not your daddy".... :D there was a nice growl in there, too.

i don't mind the short, i just think it's really funny. he's a tiny ninja! which you really can't tell until he's standing next to someone who isn't parker. he has the presence of a taller person.

What does red velvet cake taste like? It's not very common out in the West. Is it white cake with red color? Butter cake with red color? Something else?

it tastes red. :D kind of like chocolate cake, except not as chocolatey. it has cocoa powder in it, so i guess it's nominally a chocolate cake, altho if you closed your eyes and had a piece i don't think you'd guess "chocolate cake" right away. the recipe i have calls for two bottles of red food coloring, which makes it BRIGHT RED. (altho the bottles are small, so it's not like a cup of food coloring or anything.) it's also got buttermilk in it. it's not common in new england either, as i discovered when i made one for my parents' anniversary and people had to be talked into eating it.
