worse than someone telling you they missed you and you not believing them - because why would they miss you - is them not telling you at all. altho part of me really isn't surprised, because seriously, why WOULD they miss me, i mean it's not like we talk a lot or anything. but it still kind of hurts ( Read more... )

I miss Luigi. I didn't mean to, but I do.

And if you want, you can have a nice Italian recipe - tagliatelle al ragù, perhaps?

(And let's just pretend that my html skills aren't completely awful.)

i've done that too - told someone exactly what was wrong and had them not address it - but they weren't shocked when things didn't get better, i think because they didn't think things were bad to begin with. which is really kind of frustrating.

y'know, people would be a lot easier to deal with if they thought the same way you did.

on the plus side, i really like those lyrics. they're very... uplifting. optimistic.

i have a place in the world and 10,000 miles on my itunes, but there's a high possiblity i haven't listened to either song and paid attention. >.< i've only ever heard good things about her, tho. and she gets bonus points for publicly supporting the dixie chicks, because they got so much flak, someone in the same business they're in has to stand up for them.

(altho they were kind of surprised by all the flak, which, well, country music is pretty conservative. they shouldn't have been surprised. but they also never backed down, so.)

i like the gushing, actually. how else am i going to know what good music is out there besides what i hear on the radio? y'know? i want to know what people like, and why.

This is my friend Ellen's recipe for lemon loaf:

ELLEN'S LEMON BREAD

2 C. sugar
3/4 C. margarine
4 eggs
3 C. flour
1 C. milk
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
lemon rind from 2 lemons

Cream sugar and margarine. Add eggs and mix. Add all other ingredients and mix well. Bake in 2 greased bread pans (works best in GLASS pans - it will turn out of pan more easily) at 350 degrees for 45 minutes - 1 hour.

GLAZE:
1 C. sugar
juice from 2 lemons

Poke holes all over entire top of HOT bread (as soon as it comes out of the oven) with a toothpick. Pour glaze over the top. Allow to cool a good 45 minutes to an hour before running a knife around loaf and turning out of pans.

She made it for work not too long ago; it was extremely excellent. I am going to try to make it soon.

We haven't hung out in a really long time. Once this wedding shit is over, I would really like for us to try to get together again. Maybe back at the S&S?? (OMG, I think that I have actually figured out how Inman Square relates to the world at large!! It is no longer a ( ... )
