worse than someone telling you they missed you and you not believing them - because why would they miss you - is them not telling you at all. altho part of me really isn't surprised, because seriously, why WOULD they miss me, i mean it's not like we talk a lot or anything. but it still kind of hurts

This is my friend Ellen's recipe for lemon loaf:

ELLEN'S LEMON BREAD

2 C. sugar
3/4 C. margarine
4 eggs
3 C. flour
1 C. milk
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
lemon rind from 2 lemons

Cream sugar and margarine. Add eggs and mix. Add all other ingredients and mix well. Bake in 2 greased bread pans (works best in GLASS pans - it will turn out of pan more easily) at 350 degrees for 45 minutes - 1 hour.

GLAZE:
1 C. sugar
juice from 2 lemons

Poke holes all over entire top of HOT bread (as soon as it comes out of the oven) with a toothpick. Pour glaze over the top. Allow to cool a good 45 minutes to an hour before running a knife around loaf and turning out of pans.

She made it for work not too long ago; it was extremely excellent. I am going to try to make it soon.

We haven't hung out in a really long time. Once this wedding shit is over, I would really like for us to try to get together again. Maybe back at the S&S?? (OMG, I think that I have actually figured out how Inman Square relates to the world at large!! It is no longer a black hole of nothingness!! Next thing to figure out... Davis!)
