We have a couple Old McDonald books, but Fi really likes the one with cartoonish drawings of an Irish-looking farmer, his farm, and eight different animals--and hence eight verses of the song. At the end of the book, there are a couple of extra pages where you match animal pictures and answer similar questions to challenge your toddler.

While grocery shopping last week, I saw the name "Thomas" on a particular item, and showed it to Josh.

He now thinks that Thomas the Tank Engine likes to eat Thomas brand English Muffins.

Whether related or not, Josh now likes to eat them, too.

I'm still a little rattled. Josh was recounting his day on the ride home today, and was mostly rambling incomprehensibly. However, one thing he said got my attention.

"He had the purple Wiggle," said Josh.
