Jesse hates school. He hates being away from his mom and her warm comforting smell. He hates always having to look out the window as the bus drives off and his mom waves at him from the curb, mouthing see you in the afternoon, be a good boy now and make mommy proud. He never knows what to do without her. At home, Jesse would curl up on the couch and listen to the sounds she made as she went about her daily routine, folding laundry that smelled like freshly cut grass or making lunch in the kitchen. The house too, with its creaking floorboards and the hum of the fridge, the squeaking hinges, comforted Jesse and made the ball of worry in his stomach unknot

Oh, this adorable, and they seem so age appropriate. Ugh, little!Andrew as a pirate & wanting Jesse as his pirate wife. I might die from how lovely this is.

This needs all the sequels in all the land, like the one where they grow up together and Andrew gets a girlfriend/boyfriend and than Jesse gets one too and they pine a little but than they go to prom together and have sex on prom-night. The couple who always found their way back to each other. *nods*
