He could avoid her forever or he could die trying. Truthfully, this was not what Eduardo had expected would happen. He should have known by now that overreacting caused him trouble and usually with Mark involved. That should have been his first sign of trouble and maybe stopping it before it started. The second should have been Sean’s eagerness to be a pain in his ass, Sean only harped people when he was trying to get them go along with some master plan. Eduardo had figured that out years later when looking back on Sean’s opportunistic actions, he planned, schemed, and used his condescendingly charming personality like a finely sharpened weapon ready to strike the second the player held it ( ... )

Mark toyed with the strings on her sweatpants and offered up a shrug sitting on the desk like she owned the place. She did but that was besides the point, for a victim she was rather smug.
