Um... would it be a problem if a gen (or het too) ts ficathons was created? Nothing wrong with slash, but what about the gen/het authors/readers out there?

The community was formed as a slash ficathon community. We fully understand that many do not want to read/write slash and it certainly wasn't our intention to exclude people. We discussed the option of allowing het and gen fics, but ultimately decided against it. Our decision was made for several reasons. First, the ficathon as a whole is easier to manage when we don't have to worry about placing and separating fics into categories. Second, and perhaps most importantly, the four of us that formed the community are primarily slash readers/writers. The community was devised to suit our specific fanfic tastes - J/B slash fics. *g*

We would fully support a gen/het ficathon and would be thrilled to pimp it on our community. However, we don't necessarily anticipate this community ever organizing a gen/het ficathon.

I'm very sorry that our ficathon is unable to meets the needs of all TS fans. We really do appreciate your comments and questions.

Oh I understand compleatly. Sorry if I came off as sounding like I was complaning because that wasn't my intention. I just wanted to check and see if creating a gen/het version of this was going to cause problems anywhere.

You didn't sound like you were complaining! Don't worry. *g* And I don't think you creating a gen/het version would create problems at all. Good luck! *g*

Just a quick question moonglow11066 May 4 2005, 12:26:10 UTC
to get it clear in my head - We post the stories in our own journals and post the link in a master thread? Do we reveal the cliche and sense at the beginning?

You can post the stories in your own journal, on your web page or an archive - your choice. *g* On July 15th, one of the mods will create a post that basically says, "Time's up. Tell us where your story is!" You make a comment with the link to the story. Definitely reveal your sense and chiche!

At some point that day, we'll make a master list with all stories, the prompt information and the link. :)

The sense and cliche aren't really a secrets so it's not a big deal if a few others know your prompt before you post. We just wanted some surprises. *g*
