Our first Ficathon is over and the turnout was great! We, the mods, are so thrilled with all the wonderful stories submitted by so many talented writers. I, for one, am deeply impressed by the quality of the stories that came from this challenge. Every writer came up with a fresh new way of using their cliche. I applaud you all ( Read more... )

Thanks for the first go-round. It was great fun. I didn't have a problem with the deadline, and the instructions were fine. The posting didn't bother me even though I don't do LJ. I read a few on LJ and they were fine. I then read over at 852 and a few websites, so for me, the posting procedure worked.

And I've received many nice LOCs so thanks for the idea in the first place. I enjoyed reading all the comments on my little story.

The instructions were very clear and helpful, and I have the greatest admiration for you for mixing and matching the cliches and senses so well. It's really interesting reading what other people do with similar challenges to my own.

I don't have a problem with doing the next one in January / February (although I'll be a student by then so I'll either write an even bigger story (hey, I think anything over 500 words is big) or miss the deadline altogether). I'll write the majority of it in the last week anyway...!

It was really good fun, and I have to admit I like being 'forced' to get some writing done. Thanks a lot, and I look forward to the next one!
