Tell Us About It
Our first Ficathon is over and the turnout was great! We, the mods, are so thrilled with all the wonderful stories submitted by so many talented writers. I, for one, am deeply impressed by the quality of the stories that came from this challenge. Every writer came up with a fresh new way of using their cliche. I applaud you all!
It is our hope that everyone had as much fun participating in the Ficathon as we did. We plan on doing more Ficathons in the future, possibly twice a year. We would love to know what you think about how the first Ficathon, Getting a Sense of Cliches, went for you. There is always room for improvement, so if you had any problems, leave a comment here or send us an email, we really want to make this a fun experience for everyone.
Some questions:
Is January/February too soon for the next Ficathon? Would you like to have another Ficathon sooner, or should we wait until after the holidays?
Were the instructions clear and helpful? Did you have enough time to meet the deadline?
Each Ficathon will be a different challenge, so the next one will not be about cliches. We already have several topics for future challenges, but we would still appreciate any suggestions that you might have.
