Naoto just got back to his flat on the south side of town. He set down the large paper sack of Chinese food on the kitchen table and began hunting around for some glasses and utensils. Knocking on the door twice before entering, he declared "Tadaima..." and unceremoniously dumped his boots at the entrance.
Mello strolled in, in a familiar leather attire, a half-empty bag slung over his shoulder, and proceeded to take in his surroundings. Slightly messy, but not terribly. Food most likely still warm. Kitchen area mostly clean.
Most importantly though: Naoto.
He smiled.

"Okaeri," he said, a smile on his face. "You're just in time. I only got back about five minutes ago, so the food is still hot."
He stood there for a moment before reaching for Mello's hand, his slender fingers entwining with his.
"I'm glad you're back," he said softly, his gaze lingering somewhere near his feet. "I missed you..."

...there was a small awkward moment for him, when their hands intertwined, and momentarily a small frown moved across his features. His gaze, too, fell towards the floor, before he caught himself.
"It's good to be back," he answered, looking at Naoto once more. But really, he didn't feel like standing here forever, so he leaned down and placed a small kiss on Naoto's cheek. "...I missed you too."
That said, he promptly let go of his partner's hand to walk in and have himself a seat.

Once there, he began opening up the take out boxes. Steam and the aroma of spices and soy sauce wafted out of them.
"Go ahead and serve yourself," Naoto said, taking up the glasses. "I'll get us something to drink. There's water, melon soda, fruit juice. I can make some tea, if you like."
