[It's obvious that she's been crying. Her eyes are red-rimmed and puffy, but she's putting on a brave face.]

It's all right. It's... it's better this way. They don't... have to suffer anymore.

Besides, I'm not very fond of... letting people see me cry.

No, they don't. But you shouldn't be alone right now. I'd...I'd hate to be alone if Den died.

I have Grampa and Yakushiji-san here with me. And Kanji's going to come by. I'll... I'll be all right. You and the others have more important things to worry about...

... I'm so sorry, Shirogane-san. I've never had a pet, but... It sounds like you really loved them a lot.

I did. Father gave them to me when I was a child. They were a Christmas present. He taught me how to train them, and they've always been a part of the family.

I'm going to miss them both very much...

You're right... I just have to try and focus on all the good memories we made together. And many one day, I'll get a new dog...

Oh, hello Chie-senpai...

I'm sorry. I just miss them. All of them. Holmes. Watson. Mother. Father.

Hey, you don't need to apologize, alright? I mean, I'd probably be bawling like a baby if my dog died too.

I did cry. A lot. I'm not sure if I've cried enough yet...

But thank you anyway. I think Kanji will be coming over in a little while. So I won't be alone...

You're right. They were very good friends to me. I'm just glad that they weren't my only friends...

All you can do is appreciate what you have. Easier when you're not alone.

Precisely. And I still have my cats. I think Kanji is going to come by and bring Oukun. It'll be nice to see them both again.

Oh, I do hope your own dog is doing well.

I'm really sorry, Naoto.

[ooc. screw the earrings he was going to give you for Christmas. He's sending you 2 puppies right now.]

They were old, Saguru. Very old. Most English Foxhounds don't live beyond 13 years of age, and they were nearly 12. They led a long, happy life. I'm just glad they don't have to suffer anymore...

[OOC: EDIT: Actually, go ahead and give her the two corgi pups. I think it'd be hilarious if everyone got Naoto puppies for Christmas. And then she'd end up with a whole pack of pups! XD]

I can imagine. Just keep thinking on the good memories you shared, Naoko.

I will. As much as I cherished their friendship, I'm glad that they weren't my only friends. It's easier to shoulder the burden of grief when there are others to comfort you.

((OOC: Well, good thing she has plenty of room at the estate, right?))
