He carried a heavy case full of scientific measuring equipment in one hand as he walked. So far, he hadn't yet seen a shadow, but he sensed them around.
Souls. Everywhere. Corrupted and twisted, in many cases, but many of them simply registered as pure human to his own senses.
It was fascinating, and he couldn't wait to capture one and cut it open to discover what it might really be.

The scientist walked as fast as he could to keep up with the other two, ignoring the oncoming headache. "Thanks again, Adachi. I owe you another dinner for this. A nice one." Birkin tugged on his tie nervously as he walked. "You know where we're going, right?" Never should have gone in that TV. Could have just stayed in Adachi's tiny apartment and "held down the fort" or something... Damn his scientific curiosity.

"Yes, I know where we're going," Adachi half-lied smoothly. Okay, he didn't know precisely where they were headed, but it felt like he was almost being led there anyway. "It seems so quiet..." The brats always seemed to have a ridiculous amount of shadows after them. He had to admit, just walking through the fog was a tad disconcerting. Straining his eyes, he could make out what was apparently a building up ahead. "There, see, we're pretty much there. Quit whining."

A sickle of a grin spread across his face as the three men stepped out of the swirling fog. Adachi, of course, appeared the most comfortable with his surroundings. As it should be.
