Well, that was an exciting few days, wasn't it? At least my stay in the hospital wasn't completely boring. And I even got to take down a few of those shambling corpses myself! I can definitely see the appeal. No wonder Kaito and Hakuba looked like they were having such a good time!

I was discharged this morning, and Minato-kun took me home. Suffice ( Read more... )

I agree. Especially the Japanese variety. The Western tradition deals with poltergeists and the like, but the Eastern traditions focus more on vengeful spirits and grudges held against those who wronged a person before they died.

I think it also has to do with religious aspects, as well. The West tends to interpret most spirits as evil creatures while the East accepts that some spirits can be good, or simply possess their own set of morals, such as kitsune and tanuki.

When this is all over, I'll have to dig up a collection of old ghost stories...

I do have a number of DVDs I could loan for the occasion. Maybe we could have it at the estate?

Is there a specific kind of horror movie you favor? And since Grampa is currently out of the country, there shouldn't be any awkward questions if I bring a few guests over.

I prefer movies with a dark atmosphere throughout, or that challenge one's perceptions, such as psychological thrillers. But I do enjoy the cheesy B-horror movie every now and then.

What's your favorite (or current favorite) horror movie?

They're more funny than scary, though...

For some reason, I want to watch Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde again. But which version...? So many choices.

I thought true horror films were supposed to be frightening, though?

Actually... there's this one version called Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde... which involves a lot of genderbending. It's a comedy rather than a horror flick, though... but Ms. Hyde is quite vicious, nonetheless...

((Fffft, so appropriate, considering what happens in November.))
