We lost another member of the Winter Park family. Jeff Christensen, a ski patroller here for the past 7 winters and Forest Service Ranger at Rocky Mountain National Park during the summer, apparently fell from the east face of Mount Ypsilon while out on backcountry patrol. Went on a very long single-speed mountain bike ride yesterday and I’m sore as hell today… had to walk up three flights of stairs a few minutes ago and my legs were complaining vehemently.

Drove the old Moffat Road over the Continental Divide yesterday and did some hiking… it was a beautiful clear day with big blue sky… the views were awesome.

Yesterday was our annual Mountain Cleanup Day. Employees at the resort get shuttled up to the top of the mountain and hike back down the mountain picking up trash on the ski runs.
