I picked up Monty yesterday from the Vet's office. He looked happy to see me but was obviously still a bit "out of it" in the "What happened Daddy? There's an owie on my back leg Daddy!" sort of way ( Read more... )

Part of me wants to laugh because I think that would be hilarious.. and then another part of me thinks Monty would look scary.. not as scary as I look.. but scary all the same :)

I can't believe you bought him a cone when he doesn't need one! How rude!

Last year, I got Morgan's teeth cleaned and they had to put her under because she's so little and fussy. She also has this glob thing on her head that requires draining once in a while, so they did that while she was under too. When I picked her up from the vet the day after, she was PISSED OFF. They had to shave a spot on her arm (I call her front legs "arms") to put the needle in, and she looked at it, then looked at me and gave me horrible stink-eye. After that, she didn't look me in the eye until the next day, then it was like nothing ever happened.

It's funny how the dogs remember things huh... I mean.. I felt so bad about this but what could I do..

The thing with the cone is because I am not home during the day... so I want to make sure he doesn't nip at the wound.

Understood. I was worried that Morgan would need a cone after they drained the glob, but since they didn't need to make an incision (and fuck up her hairdo), the cone wasn't needed.

It's funny how you can be gone for 8 minutes or 8 hours, but they are just as happy to see you either way.

you think that shaving is bad ... You should see a lab when it gets shaved (having longer hair ...)
