Notices the scared girl though and slows to a stop.]]

"Hey, I take it you're new. I'm Aaron Taylor, and this is Mayfield.

We've sort of all been kidnapped."

Kidnapped?! Do you really mean that? How...

I mean it, I am still not sure how. Before I mess this up, let me give you this."

[[Gives her one of the pamphlets.]]

"One of the others who got kidnapped with us wrote this up. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll answer what I can."

[She blinks with confusion at him, but takes the paper and brings it up close to her face, scanning it with extreme concentration. After a moment, she jerks her head back up.]

Um... I'm really sorry, but... I can't read! At least... not very much...

Oh... n-no, I'm not okay! I need to find Jaffar and the others... And I need to find out where I am! Do you know what this place is called?

This place is called Mayfield. If you're friends aren't here, you probably won't find them because, well....most of us are stuck here.

[Kallen hears her leaving the house in a rush and follows her out.]

[She spins around when she hears Kallen behind her and promptly stumbles and almost falls, barely catching herself in time.]

I'm Nino! I don't know how I got here!

[Well, there's a familiar face. It worries him; this really is no place for Nino, or anyone for that matter, and if he couldn't protect Lyn, is there anything he can do for her here?

That isn't important for the moment, though. He doesn't let the worry show on his face as he comes up next to her, grinning a bit.]

Oh! [Her face lights up instantly.] Uncle Legault! [FLYING TACKLEHUG] It's really you! I'm so happy! I was starting to think I wouldn't find anybody I knew here!

[Legault laughs even as he stumbles back just a little, ruffling her hair fondly.]

I'm still not old enough to be your uncle! But it's good to see you.

[The smile falters a little bit then, though.]

There's... no one else here you'll know. We've been kidnapped and brought to a town called Mayfield. I don't really know where we are beyond that.
