Notices the scared girl though and slows to a stop.]]

"Hey, I take it you're new. I'm Aaron Taylor, and this is Mayfield.

We've sort of all been kidnapped."

[[Gives her one of the pamphlets.]]

"One of the others who got kidnapped with us wrote this up. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll answer what I can."

[She blinks with confusion at him, but takes the paper and brings it up close to her face, scanning it with extreme concentration. After a moment, she jerks her head back up.]

That's okay, it's the second time in the past two days I ran into that. I guess I am getting used to this.

This place is like a giant trap. They have rules and punishments. They also torment us on occasion.

But... why would they kidnap us in the first place? Surely they'd have a reason! And who are "they", anyway? I just don't understand... I've never even seen anywhere like this place before! It's so... different...

"Yeah, I haven't actually gotten close enough to test it. I don't want to. I just know that things don't work like normal here.

It'd take a lot to set this all up and to have it happen instantly every time someone shows up. They make you go to school, do a job, and there are plenty of people who are brainwashed into thinking you're supposed to be here."

"Yep. Every few days, skip too much and they supposedly brain wash you. It's not hard, most of the teachers are strange."

I don't want to be brainwashed! I'll go! I don't mind learning, after all. It might be nice to learn more about this world.

"Only the brainwashed people teach stuff like that, the other teachers seem to pick stuff from their worlds.

Everyone here is from different worlds. So some of the teachers want to to share what they know. I guess to feel less alienated or something."
