Yay! Thank you! I'm feeling proud that I was being pimped, and I'm very glad you like it. It was a hard story to write. :)

Given the, uh...different direction the show seems to be taking on the matter of Ellie and Casey, it was nice to just see them settling things by the fountain as quasi-friends in this story. You write both of them really well.

Yeah, the episode annoyed me, just because my fic was half done and it was all Jossed. ;) But I'm very curious to see how those two will play out in canon. Thanks for the kind comment. :)

I adore the way you write Casey. You give him this sense of humanity carefully swaddled in the gritty details his life has become. He's very alone, there's a desolation in his actions that the show offsets with the humorous antics.

Yet...given a different tone, the character of John Casey would be quite tragic. I think you explore that idea very well, concisely, no small detail is insignficant.

Great job!

Thank you. :) I had a feeling I had to tackle this side of Casey before delving into long slashy fic. Probably to do with my fic kink for battle veterans. ;) Once I started thinking about how long he's been a spy, it occurred to me that he must have an awful lot of history.

Wow this story is so great. I love the dark side of Casey, all the things he has to have seen and done in the many years he was in the NSA. Also the heartache of having lost it all when Beckman dismissed him. They don't explore the darkness in the show enough or as deeply as I would like and I love that you are willing to show the true Casey beyond what the show gives us.

Can't wait to read anymore stories that you would be willing to share with us.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it. I, too, find this darker side of Casey to be very intriguing, and I felt I had to write about it at least once before moving on to the slash. 'Cause it's all about Casey/Chuck, see. ;)
