Hello.

You just broke my heart into a million tiny pieces. Fix with cute, fluffy fic please!

Aside from that, GAH! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! I can't formulate more coherent thoughts right now because this is so good and heartbreaking and I'm so sad and happy to have read this fic at the same time and ugh, you're such a great writer...

Urgh... fluff? Go read one of Rach's latest oneshots again. I can't do fluff. Well, I can, but it'd take forever to write.

Thank you so much though. You're too sweet, really.

Simba is the closest I have to a kitten in my icons. A travesty, considering I own three cats.

Thank you - they're just monthly challenges with a supplied prompt. All good fun. We've been running them since July.

And what can I say? I love angst. I blame it on being surrounded by so many fluffy animals. Not really, but hey.

Oh, I think I might cry...in a good way. I'm glad he ended up dead, if she'd gone to visit him, or if he'd gotten out of Jail and gone to see her I don't think it would have had the same effect. just wonderfully done, as always.

Thank you! I agree, I didn't think it would have worked if he hadn't died either.

Wow!! Why do now like angst so muc more since being back in this fandom?!
This was amazing and so great and I now know for certain that this month you're probably going to win :)
I'm still living in hope that Jane will choose her over Red JOhn when it comes down to it *cough* reminder of season one finale *cough* :P

I know there's people who disagree with me, but I think that the characters suit stories with darker undertones. Of course, it is possible to write fluffy stories with them, but I find when writing they drive angst better.

I'm glad you enjoyed it - and eh, I don't count my chickens before they hatch. People may be enjoying it, but we're only a week into the month and there's many amazing authors who haven't submitted anything yet. Besides, people have to actually vote for it for it to win anything and I've learned you REALLY cannot predict the voting public. (March is the only month I've actually been right. *grins*)

Me too. Though I love exploring dark endings to the Red John storyline, I'd hate for it to be what actually happened on the show.

I think the show is quite dark itself so it's good to carry on that theme in fics, and also to have a little relief with fluff :)

Very true, I get far too excited when leaving reviews *giggles* I can't wait to see what everyone else posts *gets all hyper again*

This is probably my happy brain talking but I think most shows should have some sort of a happy ending or else it's like "Ahh, how could they leave it like that?!"

That's my point, really. If you want things to remain at least relatively canon compliant, I find it helps to not necessarily write about the darker undertones, but at least remember they're there. (And yes, there is a difference between that an angst. In fact, in my opinion so many fics are being mislabelled as angst when really, they're more introspection/character studies... or just something else. It's frustrating as I love proper angst so much.)

Aww! It's sweet and most authors love receiving reviews where people are enthusiastic. It encourages people to write.

If there isn't an at least optimistic ending, you can guarantee hundreds of fixit fics afterwards.
