Coming out is such a trip. Before you've started along the path, you're deathly afraid everyone will hate you so you do everything you can to avoid them finding out. i know the feeling... i use the word "squick" a bit when i want to see if the waters are warm... or, like with the MRI tech, mention bondage and see if they giggle... or laugh with a knowing smile.
It does make a difference.
i found in the last 10 years that i LIKE, i NEED, i LOVE to be with people that KNOW and don't care-- it cuts out my filters, it leaves me mentally able to TALK and think and BE without taking some of that energy to keep the japanese screens up.
Of course,every now and then you and i just love to take people to the zoo without a passport or any negotiation.
