It has been a crazy-long time since I updated my journal. Jeez. My reason for this is the same as always -- I'll have something semi-major that I want to write about, and then I won't have the time to do it, and then it gets so far after the fact that it seems silly to post about it, and I don't want to post more recent things until I cover the

Now, don't go all KeithK on us. How's that for old-school?
Two minor corrections/additions:
1) "Ian and I celebrated our sixth anniversary of togetherness... " to which my gift was "...the eyebrow piercing that I've wanted for as long as I can remember". This was balanced by the "redo/refreshing" of my first tattoo (which was complete and utter shit) and now looks brand-spankin'-new! :D
2) "I saw Ian perform his first live solo gig at UAkron's "Rockin' for Relief" event". It's not like I've *never* played live before... just a while, and always with backing. I greatly prefer it that way.

* Congratulations! Wow!
* Yay for eyebrow piercings! I still love mine (even when I forget it's there), eight(!) years later.
* Ew. I'm glad it worked out, but ew.
* Now I want to see some more live shows.
* \m/
* More congratulations!
* ! I'm glad your father wasn't injured (he wasn't, was he?), and I am NEVER going to Cincinnati.
* Congratulations to your mom! Hey, do lots of schools (like, say, any schools in California) do accelerated Master's programs?
* Yet more congratulations! That's so awesome.
And...I recognized cloak's icon...and it turns out that he is an LJfriend of one of my closest real-life friends. O_o

*Thanks!
*I think it's completely awesome that you've had your piercing for so long, and that you get to rock both the piercing and kick-ass haircolor at work. Here's to hoping that my place of faux-employment will be similarly cool.
*It was indeed craptacular. At least I got some amusing stories out of it...
*I'm telling you -- try to catch a NIN show. And hey, isn't Keneally supposed to be doing a Baked Potato show here soon? You know that will be ten pounds of fantastic in a five-pound bag ( ... )
