So I've been thinking about Japan. For those who don't know, last year I wanted to apply to the JET programme (the Japanese government recruits assistant English teachers from all over the world) but I couldn't get my citizenship in time to apply. Right now I'm a stateless pirate, because I came here as a minor under my mother's passport. To restore my Russian citizenship would require far more trans-continental bribery than I'm able to do.

Wow, you're from Russia. I would never have realized. I have an acquaintance from South Africa and you guys look quite similar, so I just assumed. Weird...

As for living abroad, it can be an amazing time, but also very hard and lonely. The first time I lived in England was the best time of my life. The second was of the worst times in my life. I guess it just depends on the circumstances you find yourself in. But if you want to try, go for it. You're only young once.
