The king and his family are known to be ruthless, selfish and ignorant to their people and mostly only have interest in their own business. They’re not loved by their people, but there’s one who actually hates them. Park Yoochun always had a huge aversion for the royal family, since their parents work for them in full commitment, paying them too little for their hard efforts. Yoochun confronts his parents a lot, but they won’t listen, at those times Yoochun always climbs up his favorite tree in the forest and plays the harmonica, just to relieve his anger. A tree close to the Kim’s residence. One day when it’s like no other day he receives a blue paper plane, that comes out of the Kim’s residence.
A/N:I needed something new n___n and luckily I found this plot! Hehe, never wrote something in an other era so, it's going to be fun ^^

Prologue

A cold wind blew through his window, like almost every morning in winter. The sheets were everywhere, his feet were lying on the his pillow while he was just snoring on. Until his mother entered his room to wake him up. “Yoochun-ah, Appa and Umma are off to the Fortress now.”

The boy groaned when he tried to lift himself from the bed. Then glared at her. “Why do you and appa keep going there?”

Mrs. Park sighed when she opened the curtains. “We talked about this before, Yoochun, it’s because we really need the money they give us.”

Yoochun frowned, he could expect that answer anyway. He hated the job his parents had, but they just needed to money to pay for their living.

Mr and Mrs. Park were just average people, kind and friendly towards everybody. They had one son, Park Yoochun, who was well raised, but had a huge aversion against the royal family, the Kim family.

Why he hated them so much? Well it wasn’t weird since most of the citizens didn’t like their emperor, but for Yoochun the main reason was the king treated his parents like dirt and paid them less than they deserved since the put all their heart in their work.

He tried to persuade his parents to quit that job and search for something that could pay more, but his parents wouldn’t listen to him. And that annoyed the youngster.

The Kim family was not the best family you could have to rule the country, they could be coldhearted, almost cruel. They’re selfish, only caring for their selves. They don’t seem to want to take notice of the problems of the people and would only show up at national holidays.
“You can take an other job.”

“Yoochun! You know how hard it is to find an new job, we just need the money for our food, our clothes!”

Yoochun shrugged and got up from his bed. He didn’t feel like arguing about it right now otherwise his anger would boil over.

The last time that happened wasn’t that long ago, he confronted his father with the beatings he got for dropping the food he had to bring to the kitchen. His father just smiled faintly and said it was nothing. That was the last straw.

From that moment on he swore someday he’d pay them all back.

There was one place Yoochun felt whole, were he could come when he was furious. At the southern side of the fortress and the palace of the emperor there was a big forest that went on for miles. One out of all trees that were there was Yoochun’s favorite tree, he had been coming there since childhood and he didn’t leave it.

He’d climb up until he’d almost reach the top and just see the magnificent view on the country, the village and the whole forest. Sometimes he’d also take his harmonica with him, just to break the silence.

It would calm him down every time. Sometimes he sat there till sundown or until his parents would come home from the palace.
Today it was just a regular day. He waved his parents a good day with a bitter smile on his face. Then head for the forest again. He really needed some fresh air.

He touched the bark of ‘his’ tree as soon as he got there, slow and careful he grabbed the branches one by one, pulling himself up so he could climb higher up the tree. Once he reached the top he sighed, enjoying the great view once again.

He didn’t even get bored by looking at the same view again and again, it made him feel calm and that was enough.

Some time passed and Yoochun took the silver harmonica he got from his grandfather before he died out of his pocket. The sound wasn’t that pure anymore but he didn’t care, it was about the feeling that was behind it.

And he always put a lot of feeling in the music.

The sound echoed through the forest, making birds fly away from the trees.

He smiled when he finally finished his song. It was a song he once heard at the market. Street musicians used to perform in the fortress when he was little, but ever since the emperor got the throne they are no longer welcome in the village.

Since then the village got into a big shadow, people got sad, depressed. The light that was there disappeared in a blink of an eye.
Those thoughts made that smile disappear, too.

He just stared into the distance. Even though it was kind of cold recently Yoochun felt fine. The wind that was blowing against his face was refreshing actually.

He continued staring, until he felt something landing on his lap.

A blue paper plane.

His head turned to find the possible origin of the little paper plane. He was shocked when he was looking at the tower of the Kim’s palace. On the same height as him, behind the highest window he saw a guy, probably the same age as he was. The guy was smiling and pointed at him.

Yoochun mouthed a quick “What?” to the guy, but he kept pointing until he understood what he meant. He opened the little blue note and read the words written on it.

“Can we be friends?”
