There's a good side and a bad side to this post.

First off, the good: Openly gay Australian diver Matthew Mitcham wins a gold in Beijing. As the article points out, Louganis was also gay, but he wasn't out with his sexuality when he won. Mitcham has been out and has actually worked towards having his boyfriend present at the Olympics

What really pisses me off is that they didn't even show his mom. Not talking about his orientation or his boyfriend I can deal with; concessions have to be made for middle America. BUT TO NOT TALK ABOUT OR SHOW HIS MOM? WHAT THE FUCK, MAN. Gay people have parents too!
