It has been over a year since I've baked. A year! A year since I've had home made cookies or bread in the oven. How have I let this happen? This is just not right ( Read more... )

Yaaaaay! for baking! You must bake and then tell us all about it!

I think I will make a loaf of bread this weekend, too. I made one a couple weeks ago and we gobbled it up almost instantly.

I was thinking about making either challah or brioche, but since I've never baked anything ever in this oven, maybe I should start with something that involves a smaller investment of time. Maybe an Italian herb thing, which would be nice for summer. What do you think you'll make?

I think I will just make a plain white loaf. The one I made a couple weeks ago was my most successful, slicable loaf ever.

I wish I could come bake with you. It's so damn hot in my kitchen I can't even conceive of baking at the moment.

If I could, I'd say lemon cake. All summery and yum. :)
