i spent the 2 months prior to the election in 2004 bumming around europe, often declaring to people in pubs (when asked, which was often) that i had, in fact, voted for kerry, as i had voted for gore in 2000 (my mother made sure i got my absentee ballot for virginia, and i mailed it in plenty of time). i watched one of the debates that year

hells yeah, being an american (and one who voted for obama) was awesome. people kept telling me how excited they were. (btw - finished with google reader, and now on the flist, skip=260), pictures when i find my cord.
