I think I'm getting sick again. This is ridiculous. I've been sick easily twice as much in the last half year as I was for the two years previous. ( Bitching about symptoms. )
To be fair, it was hot and humid this morning. It makes exercise a lot harder. I wanted to throw up for the last five minutes of my run this morning. Dying really seemed like a viable option for a moment there. And even after walking "cool" and sitting for fifteen minutes and taking an icy shower, I was still sweating. So maybe you're just a little under the weather, but exercise in the humidity is just making you feel worse than you otherwise would.
But it wasn't hotter or more humid than other mornings previous, was it? No, I won't argue with you. I need it to be true that I'm not getting sick again.
The last couple days have been kind of awful with humidity at 70% (10% higher than last week). You may not be 100%, but exercising outside now is like exercising in a swamp, and you're going to be losing salt worse than pretty much any other time this summer (so far). Just stay hydrated, and drink more than just water.
That's a good idea. I've been drinking a ton of water lately because I can feel myself dehydrating. Not to be gross, but when you can feel your saliva getting thick, you know you need more water...
It is still a really good deal, but it's also definitely a total bummer. I need to work out whether I want to keep the streaming. So long as I can borrow streaming privileges from my roommates, I might not need it, but I would hate to lose that flexibility. The question is only if it's worth it.
Your symptoms actually sound a lot more like heat exhaustion to me. I would definitely not recommend biking when it's 90+ degrees and the humidity is over 60%.
I'd agree with you except that I was feeling lousy after waking up in an air-conditioned room, well before I biked. I probably shouldn't have pushed it. I'll definitely be more careful in the future.
Blech. Hope you're not coming down with anything again and it's just the weather, as people have suggested. I assume you wash your hands fairly often--once I started doing that, nigh obsessively, and made sure I got regular exercise, I cut back on my sick days considerably.
I work in a lab where my hands are exposed to all sorts of gunk. I probably wash my hands more than ten times a day, not including after trips to the bathroom or before meals. I think it worked, too, as I only ever got sick maybe once a year prior to this.
The heat makes me sick even if I've been in an AC'ed house all day. I spend three months feeling just low-level unwell. It's also taken me until basically now to get over that cold from a few weekends ago. D:
This is the most tangential question ever, but what kind of face cream was it? I'm investigating moisturizers.
That cold was AWFUL. I shouldn't wonder if you weren't still fighting off a month from now. I think I'm not sick. Whatever it was making me feel like shit, I've kicked it, though it took two days to really return to something like normal. Here's hoping you do the same.
The face cream is Origin's Youthtopia, which is technically a skin firming cream. Whatever the claims of my fashion-and-beauty-obsessed coworkers, I remain EXTREMELY skeptical of its "firming" powers. However, I feel like I haven't broken out hardly at all while I've been using it regularly. I hated the smell at first but now I've gotten used to it and even like it. It's very light when I apply it and despite the incredible expense, it does last a long time. I got a 1 oz free sample and despite using it regularly twice a day, it lasted me six months. So I figure the 1.7 oz size will probably last me a year or so, and that's worth it for $40. Plus, buying on Overstock.com, I have "O Rewards" that I can apply to the cost to lower it, too.
That cold was weird. I didn't lack for energy, but I've never, ever been that unable to sleep due to sheer inability to lie down without my entire face protesting. Do not want ever again. D:
I've heard good things about their Perfect World moisturizer, too. I always wear a daytime moisturizer with sunscreen, though, because incidental sun exposure apparently accounts for something like 80% of visible sun damage. I'm planning to look 20-something until I'm 80.

I don't think I've ever met anyone that into fashion, and that's including a couple people I've known who wanted to be fashion designers.
That's awesome. Netflix has always had good customer service in the cases that I had to contact them.

Netflix does have good customer service. Makes their sudden rate-risings a pain to reconcile with their otherwise outstanding service.
