I've never called 911 before moving to this county, and now I've called them 4 times in about as many years.

are the expandable batons legal where you are? cause that seems like it would be a good option you can carry concealed.

Apparently they're considered a "billy club," which is illegal by state law. And you can't buy more than an infant-size can of pepper spray. (So don't get attacked by more than one person, I guess?) I doubt you're even allowed to hit someone back who's flat-out attacking you, let alone stab them. Air tasers (the shooting ones) are tenuously legal, though, but then you only get one chance to hit. I've had stun guns (non-shooting) before, but I'm unsure they actually work rather than just creating an uncomfortable pinching sensation.
