That's the closest to seeing one face to face I'm going to get this year. Thank you for having shared that. I like the symbols in the upper right - I think they remind me of something.

"The 17th spirit is called Botis, a great president and an earl; he appeareth at first in the form of an ugly viper. Then at the command of the magician he putteth on human shape with great teeth, two horns, carrying a sharp, bright sword in his hand. He telleth of all things past and to come and reconcileth friends and foes. He governeth 60 Legions of spirits. His seal is this, that he obeyeth when he seeth it.
"The 54th spirit in order is called Murmur, he is a great duke & an earl, & appeareth In the form of a soldier ridding on a griffin with a duke's crown on his head. There goeth before him two of his ministers, with great trumpets sounding. His office is to teach philosophy perfectly, & to constrain souls deceased to come before the exorcist to answer those things that he shall ask them, if he desireth. He was partly of the order of Thrones & partly of angels, & ruleth now 30 Legions of spirits. His seal is this, which is to be worn as a lamine &c.

Ah, I knew I recognized those from somewhere! That's an even more thematically appropriate idea than alchemical symbols would have been. It must have taken some mighty fine precision work with the carving knife, at that. I think I'd have needed to have a spare pumpkin or two to sacrifice to practice before getting to this one, if at all.

Oh, cool. I like seeing a different artist's interpretation of the classical depictions (although… wtf?). I looked up alchemy first but didn't find many particularly relevant symbols (though, the seals I ended up with came down to feasibility more than relevance). Turns out you can't turn the face forward and have the symbols project on the walls- but the reverse is true.
Halloween was kind of sad, actually, like it was just another day. I hurried through my pumpkin in the morning and then spent the rest of day at work until 10, watched a video, then went to bed. Didn't catch many costumes except for a family of 4 at work all dressed in the laziest aluminum foil wrap ever, as part of next door's 'publicly humiliate yourself and experience a reasonable price on your burrito' promotion. Weren't many houses done up either - it might be because Alameda county consists primarily of the largest concentration of refugees from the soviet invasion of Afghanistan in the US, followed by immigrants from the Philippines, and they're probably not
