Momoko hummed, playing with the pretty hair comb as she waited for Raven to pick up the phone.

"Raaaaaven! Hi hi!" Momoko would click to the different tone in Raven's greeting in a moment. Maybe. "I'm fine. Hey I think I found a hair comb of yours. Pretty silver and with a stone in it that looks like your chakra?"

"Hmmm," Raven said, trying to recall if she'd lost such an item. "I am not certain that is mine, but it does sound lovely, and something that I would own given the opportunity."

"Kiss kiss," Karla said, tapping on Raven's door. She liked to check in and visit in the evenings to make sure that Raven wasn't falling prey to melancholy again. "Up for some tea, darling?"

Kayla was with Warren and Cora and Nyles were quietly going over their schoolwork, so they had time for some quality girl-bonding time.

"Actually, forget tea. Up for some truly decadent hot chocolate that may or may not be spiked with something nummy?"

Raven perked up at the mention of hot chocolate. "Truly decadent sounds like something I can use now," she said. She deserved a reward for dealing with paperwork.

"But just how nummy is this spiking?" she had to ask. "You know how I get when I'm tipsy."

"Minimal numminess," Karla promised, coming in and floating a tray behind her. "Just enough to add a little extra flavor and to help you relax. I recognize that 'I've been doing paperwork until my brains bleed out of my ears' look."

She wore it often.

Raven wrinkled her nose. "I think one of the worst words ever created is 'budget,'" she said. "And trying to prioritize things when everyone needs something is just maddening sometimes."

And frustrating, since she of course wanted everyone to be happy.
