Luke had made it back to Fandom Tuesday evening, feeling more exhausted than he thought was humanly possible. It had been a rough two weeks between Panem and stuff going on in his own universe. Kate tended to bother people with text messages when she was bored. She also tended to do the same when she knew people had taken off somewhere and were taking their time getting back.

And right now, both were happening. Kate was bored because she'd left Bod dealing with their campfire while she went to get them something to eat. And Luke was the lucky guy to get checked up on, even if it wasn't quite... Mitchell-levels of worry.

Luke jumped when he heard his phone go off. It hadn't exactly been making a lot of noise in 13. He was relieved to find that the text was from Kate and not anybody in his own universe.

feel like i haven't slept in about a year but things could have gone worse-- Which was just sad considering what happened to Katniss' sister. --i take it nothing horrible happened on island for once?

Percy...wasn't going to admit that he'd been listening for Luke but he had. And when he recognized Luke's footfalls, he couldn't even stop himself from crossing the hall after giving the other boy had been in there for awhile.

"You're back." He made his voice mild even if his eyes were looking him over for injuries.

Luke wasn't surprised to hear Percy's voice behind him. Some part of him realized that something about that wasn't right, but he ignored it.

"I'm back," he said, tossing his phone aside and turning to face Percy. "I'm surprised you noticed I was gone."
