Norwhal Whale, quails

I tried to explain to my sister via phone how to make a Norwhal whale for my niece's homework, but they made several attempts without success and grew frustrated so I made up a tutorial for them on my blog and I must say, I do like the way the whale turned out! its not painted but looks good in the raw.

I am so enjoying watching the animal life in these parts and the birds have increased in our back yard since putting out bird baths and plants.

I've never seen a quail in person, they are a very cute bird and remind me of the partridge in a pear tree bird. Love the narwhal sculpture a lot!

Val, quail are so darn cute!! they walk around in little packs but I fear they get eaten up by predators around here!
