Every dog has his day. Unless you're Cerberus. In which case all days are pretty much the same; wake up and sit at attention (or doze when you can get away with it), Watch the endless ranks of souls pass through the gates, growl warningly at any that hang around the periphery too long, same old same old. And come the Lady does, on Charon's ferry still dressed in pale blue with her eyes green and brown as a forest. A smile to the ferryman, and she jumps lightly on the shore. The pink is starting to fade from her cheeks, and the brown from her hair, but she's still more Kore than Persephone when she walks up to the gate.

Cerberus stands before them, heads held at attention, statuesque and still. He's been getting better at formal greetings.

Hail, Lady Persephone, Queen of... SEPH! Seph, you're here! You're here, you're here! Welcome home! His tail cuts the air like a bullwhip. So much for formalities. Although, there's a good deal more head ducking and submissive ear flattening than he usually displays with other visitors.

He moves deferentially aside in order to let her pass. He's thrilled to see her but... well you watch your step around your betters. It's something about this whole pantheon business that the canine mind can grasp very, very well.

How was your year, Lady? "Tell me everything," pleads the tone. He's a sucker for stories from above.
