It sounds like an incredible experience. I'm so sorry to hear that your back crapped out on you there at the end... but it sounds like you managed to make the most of it!

Even at Carolena's workshops where I learned nothing about movement, formations, or dancing, I learned something much larger...about life, being a dancer, or more. I've never been disappointed when leaving one of her workshops. Sounds like you had a similar experience. Cool.

I asked a lot of questions to get what I needed out of this intensive, for sure. Had I asked not questions, I still would have gotten some good info (on the variations of some of the moves we do but different), but it wouldn't have been the same. I feel like I got what I wanted out of it because I had a clear idea of what I wanted, and she created a space where I felt free to *participate* and not just "be present", ya know ( ... )
